Join the Recovery Volunteer Army! Learn how to help people in Cecil County – the problem, the resources, how to access help for others.
Who is being called? People in recovery/sobriety, family members, recovery allies, supporters and those who have a heart for the people of Cecil County.
In this 3 hour free training, you will learn the basics skills and information to build relationships within our community through:
- Homeless outreach
- Backpack engagement program
- Overdose response – connection, support, resources
- Healing Hearts: Overdose Death Compassion Team
- Other programs and missions
You will learn about harm reduction, trauma-informed care and local resources available to our community for treatment, support, healing and hope.
No commitment is necessary to attend. Get the information and decide what calls out to you. Involvement can be as little as 2 hours a month or multiple days of time. Turn your concern into action and be a part of the solution in Cecil County!
Narcan training will be available at the end of the session for those interested, provided by the Cecil County Health Department.
