Voices of Hope is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization made of volunteers in recovery, family members and people who support recovery in Cecil County. Our mission is to advocate for recovery resources, mentor new people in recovery, work to eliminate the stigma of addiction through outreach events and education, and generally support all pathways to recovery.
Our Voices are the people who are in recovery, family members and people who support recovery. We work hard to be a platform for new ideas and initiatives that are needed for recovery to happen for anyone. The pictures and stories we share are from people who have agreed to be a face and/or voice of recovery for the purpose of advocating and spreading hope to others. Allowing us to post their picture or message does not imply that the individual agrees with all of Voices of Hope programs or services.
Whether it is cleaning the highway, feeding the homeless, joining a recovery walk, comforting the grieving or being a Peer/support to others in recovery, we have plenty of opportunities for anyone to be a volunteer. Volunteers are the life blood of our organization. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to inquire about opportunities or just show up at a Community, Town Hall or Volunteer meeting!
Our Executive Director, Nicola Barteau, is a nonstop advocate for recovery. We will be posting more about her work soon.
